Three-Dimensional Simulation Stability Analysis of Slopes from Underground to Open-Pit Mining

چکیده

The stability of mine slopes is an important factor influencing the orderly production mines and safety people’s lives property. can be effectively determined by means three-dimensional simulation analysis. Some 3D analysis methods are based on 2D analysis, still essentially methods, whereas this digital uses a true method. This method reflect overall slope in more realistic way, at same time, situation selected sections observed, making scientific rigorous. study takes Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metal Mine as example studies through results show that open-pit stable. model there only small amount tensile damage no penetration; section absolute value stress generally small, with maximum 1.45 MPa being less than strength material (7.04 MPa). After monitoring simulation, it found displacements each point process fluctuation then stabilisation, which also indicate finally stable state. Comparing above conclusions obtained from method, to general agreement, indicating effective feasible.

An Uncertainty-based Transition from Open Pit to Underground Mining

There are some large scale orebodies that extend from surface to the extreme depths of the ground. Such orebodies should be extracted by a combination of surface and underground mining methods. Economically, it is highly important to know the limit of upper and lower mining activities. This concern leads the mine designers to the transition problem, which is one of the most complicated problems...

Optimizing the open pit-to-underground mining transition

A large number of metal deposits are initially extracted via surface methods, but then transition underground without necessarily ceasing to operate above ground. Currently, most mine operators schedule the open pit and underground operations independently and then merge the two, creating a myopic solution. We present a methodology to maximize the NPV for an entire metal deposit by determining ...

Physical Model Test and Numerical Simulation Study of Deformation Mechanism of Wall Rock on Open Pit to Underground Mining (RESEARCH NOTE)

This paper is based on the open pit to underground mining practice of Daye Iron Mine. The influence mechanism between high-steep slope and non-pillar sublevel caving method is studied by using physical model test. Firstly, engineering geological properties of the choosing typical research section is analysed and generalized. Secondly, the system of open pit to underground mining is developing a...

Investigation of Bishop’s and Janbu’s Models Capabilities on Slope Stability Problems with Special Consideration to Open-Pit Mining Operations

One of the most effective parameters in economics of open-pit mines is the pit slope angle, so that the slope angle more than the optimum value increases the probability of a large failure in the pit wall and the slope angle less than the optimum value leads to increasing stripping ratio and reducing net present value of mine. Therefore, in this paper, considering the limit equilibrium methods ...

Three Dimensional Stability Analysis of a Liquid Propellant Combustor

A theoretical study analyzing three-dimensional combustion acoustic instabilities in a liquid propellant rocket engine combustor has been conducted. A linear theory based on Crocco’s pressure sensitive time lag model is used. To apply this theory the combustor is divided into two main components, including the combustion chamber and the converging part of the nozzle. The assumption of concentra...
